We are a full-service interior design studio specializing in new construction and renovations.
We're so excited to help you with your project! Whether you’re dreaming of a stunning new layout for your kitchen or bathroom, capturing more usable space in a basement, or envisioning more extensive renovations that involve completely transforming your space by removing or moving existing walls for better use of space or even adding in new rooms, we’re here for you. No job is too big or too small—we also specialize in complete interior architecture for new construction. We take great pride in being attentive listeners. Our goal is to understand your needs, collaborate with you, and, if you have a partner, develop a shared vision, and create the ideal space for you to enjoy! Typical services may include one or all of the following:
- Predesign - concept creation, preliminary budget, site measure, and programming for client needs and space requirements.
- Design Development - preliminary space planning, wall and/or furniture layout, finishes /lighting /plumbing
- City Permit/ Construction Drawings - set of drawings for permit application if required, usually when walls, plumbing, or electrical are moved or added.
- Construction Drawings with Elevations - demo, construction, electrical & furniture plans for contractor to build from, plus custom furniture details for millworker.
- Specification Documents - finish, furniture, lighting, plumbing, and appliance details for ease of purchase by owner or contractor.
- Contract Administration - additional time dunning construction for consultant coordination, contractor questions & clarifications.

Louisa Roberts, the principal designer at LRID, aims for a fresh and creative approach to each of her projects. With 20 years of experience as a designer, she has extensive experience in designing new interior construction as well as renovating existing buildings for both residential and commercial projects. She enjoys the challenge of planning interior spaces to create the most effective, beautiful, and enjoyable layouts for her clients. She graduated from university in San Francisco, studying both fine art and interior design. She has an excellent eye for color and balance, as well as space planning, lighting design, and architectural/construction methods learned at school and through her experience at architectural/design firms. She is familiar with and appreciates all genres of interior design. While she enjoys mixing traditional and modern elements, she strives for designs that complement the project's architecture and the tastes of the client or end user.
